For a day such as this….

Esther 4:14

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

What an amazing life Esther had.  What an example.

Esther had a specific purpose because of her position. If she did not fulfill that purpose, her Jewish people would get help from elsewhere, her and her family would directly suffer and perish.

With some differences, Jesus is our one and only Esther.

In John 14:6:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Have you professed Christ? Have you humbled yourself to know you need divine intervention?

We all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Romas 3:23

“All” is the key word here. We all need to humble ourselves before Jesus, therefore He, Jesus, will lift you up. James 4:10

All we need to do is look out at the world and see its need for a Savior. From floods, fires, murders, starvation, what else?

Romans 12:3

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

Paul is talking to the people in Rome. I suppose this verse could be directed towards the church in Rome. The verbiage, “I say to everyone among you,” could be taken “everyone.”

Scripture does tell us that God is long suffering so that none may perish.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

This is really a beautiful verse and lets us see the heart of God our Father.

His heart is for you not to perish, but to have and have it to the full.

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Don’t wait for tomorrow what you can do today, for tomorrow is not promised.

James 4:13-14

Do Not Boast About Tomorrow

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

He promises to draw closer to you as you draw closer to Him.

James 4:8

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify yourhearts, you double-minded.
